What you need to know:

Schedule/Transportation:

The school day begins promptly at 7:40 and ends at 3:15.  Parents must notify the office by 2:00 if your child is going home a different way than usual.  Without notification, your child will be sent home his/her usual way.

Communication:

Please feel free to contact me by email, phone, or by written note with questions or concerns at any time.  I will use Remind 101 to send Need-to-Know information.  An orange communication folder and behavior booklet will be sent home nightly.  Please review and sign the behavior booklet and check out any papers inside of the orange folder.  Return the folder with your child everyday.

Graded Work:

All graded work will come home each week. Parents should review the papers with their child.  All failing work (below 70) must be signed by the parent and returned to school.

Homework:

Homework is a reflection of what is taught in class.  Daily spelling work is assigned on Monday to prepare for spelling tests on Fridays.  Reading is expected nightly.  Please read with your child for 15 minutes each night and sign the weekly reading log.  Homework is due on Fridays.

Lunch:

Our lunch is 11:10-11:40.  You are welcome to join us for lunch after August 30th, but remember to sign in at the office.  Please send all money in a baggie or envelope labeled with your child’s name and grade.

Attendance:

Please plan on your child attending school everyday, except in cases of illness or emergency.  Remember to send a signed written note for an excused absence within three days of absence.
